Welcome to the website of the Virtus Collection, a personal collection focused on Renaissance and Baroque medals, as well as some later pieces. The primary focus is on Italian medals of the fifteenth through mid-eighteenth century, along with a smattering of French, German, Netherlandish, and English medals.
This website, like the collection, will be perpetually under construction, with new medals added, descriptions updated, and reference information expanded. It is my hope that you will enjoy viewing the fine, though often overlooked, art of sculpture in miniature displayed on this website.
